KOKO Couture Favourite 2018 Spring Trends
Are you ready for Spring? We sure are, we have had about enough of being cold and poor. Just one month until March so things are looking up! But, when it comes to style it’s great to be ahead of the game. So while spring is still a little way off yet, we will 100% be sorting our spring style in advance. Plus, there’s nothing like a little retail therapy to get us through the winter! Check out the spring trends that are set to dominate the fashion world in SS 18, straight from the fashion week catwalks!
Trend 1 – Textured Pastels
Pastels come back around every spring. There’s something about the light, ice cream tones that make us feel positive and bring out our fun side. But the catwalk’s aren’t letting pastels turn into a ‘safe’ trend. This year pastels are getting textured! With tassels and feathers being popular choices. We are especially loving this trend in ‘millennial pink’, for a feminine yet youthful vibe.

Trend 2 – Crayon Brights
Everyone needs a little brightness in their wardrobe. For a more sophisticated 2018, think about trading in your neon brights for crayon-like colours. This trend works especially well for casual wear and office wear. If you’re brave enough, give colour blocking a go, as done here on the Aalto catwalk. If you want a more subtle take on the look, pair crayon coloured accessories with a black outfit. A hint of red never lets anybody down!

Trend 3 – Royal Embellishments
After a long cold January, our bank balance is looking up (sort of) and we can look forward to enjoying some nights out again. The partywear trend of the upcoming season is embellished clothing and accessories. Think sequins and jewels, its the grown-up version of glitter! We are especially loving this look in regal golds and deep blues. Yep, we are totally channeling our inner princess for the Royal Wedding in May!

Trend 4 – Rainbow Vibes
How can you not feel happy when you’re looking like an actual rainbow. Tasteful multicolored clothing is sure to make you stand out from the crowd and get the right kind of attention. This year it’s about going all out, so go for colourful clothes, shoes, accessories – the lot! This Dolce and Gabbana look proves more is more when it comes to the rainbow. It might only be February but this trend is 100% getting us in the mood for spring.

Trend 5 – Metallic Power
Metallics are a hard trend to pull off as they can look a little cheap and tacky if done wrong. However, when got right they can make for a powerful look that means business. We are loving metallics in more masculine styles, such as this power suit on the Balmain runway. For clothing, stick to more neutral metallics such as silvers, and add a touch of fun with brightly coloured metallic accessories.
