National Handbag Day 2017: Must-Have Handbags!
It’s National Handbag Day! Yes, believe or not that is a real thing. We can all agree that handbags are amazing so why shouldn’t they have a whole day of the year dedicated to celebrating them? We only wish it was a recognised holiday so we could have the day off work hint hint! Louis Vuitton
We thought we would start the list with a classic. The Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 is an iconic handbag that will never go out of fashion. Originally created at the request of film star Audrey Hepburn in the mid-1960’s, it has now gone on to be a modern fashionista staple. We think it’s a combination of the timeless print and the simple shape that makes it so loveable. From Kendall Jenner to Jackie Kennedy, anyone who is anyone has owned this! Price £685.
Vivienne Westwood
As an architect of British fashion, Vivienne Westwood brought punk and new wave into the mainstream fashion industry during the 1970’s. Her signature Scottish tartan fabric design was born during this era, and has still lived up to this day. The Derby Yasmine bag is one of our favourites right now. You can’t beat the traditional British feel. Yet it remains edgy and fashion forward. We wouldn’t expect anything less from Miss Westwood! Of course, we have to mention luxury fashion brand Chanel. What kind of handbag obsessed girl doesn’t swoon over their pieces? The Chanel Paris AW17 show was uh-mazing, or you could even say, out of this world (😉). So many gorgeous handbags featured on this runway, it’s hard to pick a favourite. But, ‘The Rocket Bag’ really has the wow-factor. So pretty, glamourous, and unique it blows us away. We have no words! Price £10,445.

This handbag makes us feel FIERCE! So many standout features, from the iconic bamboo handle to the delicate gold border. And of course, the sparkly roaring cat. Each bag comes with a special edition pocket-sized book of short stories by 18th Century author Jane Austen. It’s not unlike Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele to draw his fashion inspirations from history. The homage to literature makes this bag extra special in our eyes. Price £3,230.

Moschino never fails to impress us. And ever since Jeremy Scott became creative director in 2013 we’ve never looked back! The pop culture infused, vibrant and colourful designs are to die for! #nobasicshere. We are currently crushing on the Kirsty Flapover bag from the ‘Love Moschino’ collection (formerly known as Moschino Jeans). Nothing screams girly like red love hearts. Price £189.

H&M
H&M has a bag for any and every girl. It’s one of your go-to shops when shopping on the high street! They pride themselves on making fashion enjoyable for everyone, and we agree! Burgundy is a must-have colour for Autumn/Winter 17 and we are digging this deep shade. The classic handbag design is practical and stylish. What more could you want? Price £34.99.
New Look
New Look aims to cater their products for any occasion and we admire this. This handbag is so smart and sophisticated, we think it would make us feel very business-like. Another colour we adore for AW17, this navy shade would look fab with officewear. Price £25.99.
